This complex contains a mixture of 300 hotel rooms and 188 residential units either furnished or un-furnished. The hotel lobby spans 4 storeys with 3 levels of restaurants. Two banquet halls, with 98 feet clear spans, are located on the 10th floor, a business centre and an executive health club on level 42, and a leisure deck and health club are at roof level. The tower has a total structural height of 200m. Construction of the Shangri-La Hotel was completed in 2003. The hotel was the first business venture of the Hong Kong based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts brand into the United Arab Emirates. Upon completion, the Shangri-La Hotel became Dubai's 6th-tallest building.
