Details The Prime Tower is situated in the centre of Zurich on the site of the former Maag cogwheel factory which has undergone redevelopment over recent years. Designed by architects Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer, the Prime Tower is set to become the tallest building in Zurich at 126 metres high. The complex comprises of the Prime Tower, the Cubus and Diagonal annexes which includes facilities such as restaurants, event centres, salesrooms and a lifestyle lounge. The inspirational Sky Lounge that sits on top of the Prime Tower gives breathtaking views over the city and lake. Over the 36 floors there is 40,000m floor space with room for 2,000 workplaces. It also benefits from excellent transport links with its own rapid-transit railway almost at the front door. The Prime Tower is also ecologically sound with its individually controllable ventilation system or windows that can be opened individually. By selecting the Parallel Plus hinge system for this project the air exhance provided is equivalent to a conventional vent opening of 100mm or more, therefore providing a sustainable alternative to a complete air conditioning system within the building. As with the other commercial hinges developed by Securistyle, the Parallel Plus hinge is manufactured from high grade 304 austenitic stainless steel. The specifically selected high-grade material provides increased strength and guaranteed long-term resistance to corrosion, fully supported by a 12 year guarantee.
