Securistyle is leading the way towards a more sustainable global industry with its participation in the EPD programme. An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a complete mapping of a products environmental footprint based on a detailed Lifecycle assessment (LCA), independently verified by an accredited third party.
An EPD does not guarantee that a product is energy efficient or sustainable, but it allows the user to make an informed decision when selecting a solution.
Why are EPDs important to Securistyle?
At Securistyle, we believe that demonstrating sustainability is not only reducing the risks associated with climate change and urbanisation, but also improving the long-term value of assets.
The globally recognised declaration provides environmental information on the Securistyle products including Parallel Plus, Sterling and Storm Hinges, Commercial Hinge Restrictor, and the Sterling Lock, and the materials used to make it. It also details the manufacturing processes involved, including the environmental implications of the raw material used, energy efficiency, transportation impact, and waste generation.
