To create a spacious and well ventilated work environment in the centre of the city.
46 Foley Street houses 20,000 square feet of newly refurbished, modern office space in the heart of the capital.
The large oak frame windows allow plenty of natural light into the building and the use of Securistyle's parallel hinge system provides maximum balanced natural ventilation in a safe and secure environment.
The building has been fitted with parallel windows on the lower ground, ground and 1st floor of the front elevation (Foley Street) and lower ground and ground of the rear elevation (Riding House Street).
The parallel vents are around 2.2m tall x 0.7m wide. The windows on the rear elevation are around 2m tall and 1m wide. All open with a two handed operation using handles mounted on either side of the oak vent.
The new lifeboat station, in Bembridge on the Isle of Wight has been fitted with a range of Titon's window and door hardware including Securistyle's Defender and Sterling friction hinges.
Bembridge Lifeboat Station has been the heart of the island's community, dating back to 1867, helping to rescue mariners from one of the busiest shipping lanes in the English Channel. The station is strategically located in the Solent and so far the crews have helped to rescue approximately nine hundred people in the stations lifetime.
In 2009, it was decided that the previous lifeboat station was no longer fit for its crew and lifeboat and so it was agreed to build a new station. As part of the £7.6m overhaul the station has all of the facilities and capabilities needed for the new Tamar Lifeboat and its voluntary crew.
In 1828 the first structure of the Belle Toute Lighthouse was built originally made of wood, the current structure here today was built in 1834. The newly renovated lighthouse is fitted with a range of Titon's window hardware including Securistyle's Defender and Sterling friction hinges.
The Belle Toute Lighthouse dates back to 1828 and was decommissioned in 1902. The old lighthouse was replaced with a new construction at the base of the cliffs. In 1999, the old lighthouse was forced to move back by 17 metres from the cliffs due to the erosion of the face of the cliff.
Part of the owners criteria was to have secure and reliable window systems that wouldn't be affected by the acetylation of the Accoya® timber frames which made Titon's and Securistyle's products the perfect choice.
To create an entirely new quarter on an undeveloped site within the city. The site will incorporate a wide variety of amenities, from offices, to the new home for the Unicorn Children's Theatre.
Securistyle have contributed to the architectural success of a landmark building within the capital's business district, More London. More London is a 13-acre Foster and Partners-designed development situated between London Bridge and Tower Bridge.
The Rushmore hinge is especially suitable for large commercial buildings due to its effective smoke egress. The bottom opening vents allow trapped smoke to flow quickly out of the building, a useful safety feature on any large construction.
To design a patient-friendly, state-of-the-art hospital able to service Birmingham and the Midlands whilst providing the highest level of medical care.
This £545M project took 8 years to plan and it was completed in 2010. Birmingham Hospital was built to the highest specification to create a bright and welcoming environment for visitors and patients with the most up to date medical equipment available.
The hospital includes 30 operating theatres, 1,213 beds - 44% of these are single rooms, the remainder of the beds are in wards of 4 beds with en-suite facilities. Smaller wards and single rooms will help in the fight against superbug infections in the hospital.
Facilities included the latest diagnostic scanners, brand new operating theatre equipment and hand wash stations to ensure all hospital users are aware of the need for cleanliness on the wards.
Securistyle has unveiled the new Sterling Advanced Detachable Restrictor – a NYCDoH-accredited window restrictor that provides safe ventilation in high-rise commercial buildings.
Designed with safety and security in mind, the window restrictor prevents users from opening the window past a certain distance while enabling them to let fresh air into the room.
Its 15.5mm and 13mm brackets have been specifically designed for both standard and slim channels in aluminium profiles. When installed with Securistyle’s Sterling or Storm Balanced heavy-duty hinges, it can be used on either top-hung or side-hung vents.
Crucially, the Sterling Advanced Detachable Restrictor has been approved by the New York City Department of Health (NYCDoH) for compliance with its falls programme– testifying to its safety when used in high-rise commercial buildings such as office towers and hotels.....
