Meet the Team - Aaron Jones

In the second instalment of our Meet the Team series we chat to Aaron Jones, Export Sales Manager, who gives us his insight into life at Securistyle. Over the next few weeks we’ll be continuing to introduce you to the people who make up our valued team.

What is your job title?

Export Sales Manager.

How long have you worked at Securistyle?

I have worked at Securistyle for five years but have been with ASSA ABLOY for 13 years.

Describe your job in three words.

Lots of travelling.

In your view, what are the key trends in the industry right now?

Contemporary styling within the residential sector and a move to larger, heavier window openings in the commercial sector.

Describe a typical workday for you.

It changes all of the time… One day I may be talking with an architect to discuss the possibilities for a project; and another day I could be advising a residential window and door manufacturer on our range of products. I also spend a lot of time travelling with our distributors to residential and commercial customers, as well as attending and exhibiting at shows.

What do you like most about working at Securistyle?

The spirit, sense of achievement and camaraderie within the team and the business as a whole. I also like to be a part of such an innovative company at the top of its sector.

What is your favourite project you’ve worked on recently?

I recently worked on a prestigious project in Brooklyn, NY (Kent Avenue) called the Jenga building. The project was three separate buildings all in the shape of Jenga pieces with huge windows that needed specialised Rushmore hinges to operate them.

Can you tell us about any exciting projects that you’re working on right now?

I’m working on the 99 Hudson, a 79-story condominium project located in Jersey City, New York, where we will be supplying all of the window solutions with our Sterling product range.

What do you enjoy when not working?

I am a big sports fan and still manage to play tennis when I’m not travelling.

What’s your favourite quote?

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

England Captain.
